Troy Brengle, Math Tutor

I am a private math tutor with over 20 years of experience working with middle school, high school, and college students as well as with nontraditional adult learners, helping them succeed in courses from common core to calculus. I have also worked with students on improving scores on standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and ASVAB. My bachelor's degree is in mathematics, and I have taught math full-time as a high school teacher and as a substitute in a middle school math/special education program. In 2007, I passed the NC Praxis II knowledge and pedagogy exams, earning the label of "highly qualified" to teach math. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to combine two of my favorites--helping people and problem-solving.
