That's an important detail because it shows the move was progressing so slowly that you felt compelled to step in and get additional help. I recently used this moving company for a move from a two-bedroom apartment and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Three movers arrived on time, and I want to acknowledge that they were polite, respectful, and worked hard throughout the day. However, the pace of the move was extremely slow compared to my previous moving experiences. We booked what was estimated to be a 5-hour move, which should have included loading, travel time, and unloading. Instead, it took the crew approximately 3 hours just to load a two-bedroom apartment, while unloading only took about 1.5 hours. The loading process was so slow that I ended up calling family members at short notice to come help move items into the truck so we could keep things moving and avoid additional charges. To make matters worse, several items were damaged during the move, including a TV console worth approximately $2,000. Discovering damage to expensive furniture after paying for professional movers was extremely disappointing. The customer service experience with management was equally frustrating. At the end of the move, the final bill included an additional $189 insurance charge that I had never agreed to purchase. The company claimed I had authorized it during a confirmation call the night before, but I never knowingly agreed to any additional coverage. Initially, the manager insisted the charge could not be removed. However, after I firmly challenged the fee, it was suddenly removed, which raises concerns about how the charge was added in the first place. There were also discrepancies in how the final job time was calculated, which further added to the frustration. While the movers themselves were courteous and hardworking, we have definitely had better experiences.
