FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For weddings, I charge an initial flat fee of $75 for a consultation with the bride. This covers the time spent coordinating with the bride and to accommodate any specially requested products she may desire (airbrushing for example). Consultations will take no more than 1.5 hours. I bring all items I currently have to the bride's home at no cost for this consultation. I also bring a contract agreement for the bride to sign in order to arrange costs for the wedding and bridal photos (if applicable). From there, I offer applications for bridal photos at a flat fee of $25 + the cost of travel over 50 miles (from my home in North Raleigh). There is no charge for travel under 50 miles. Any traveling I do over 50 miles, I ask $.50 on the mile. On the day of your wedding, I charge a per person fee of $25 with a limit of 4 faces and I stay through the entire ceremony for photo touch ups. If you have a larger party (or have guests that require makeup) I bring in an assistant and the fee is an added cost of $15/face. The same rule applies for travel costs as previously stated. So, for example: For a wedding party of 10, 3 hours (approx. 150 miles) away, with bridal photos prior to event: Initial consultation=$75 +Bridal photos=$25 +Travel Cost of 150@.50/mile=$75 +Wedding Day (First 4 faces) @ $25 each=$100 w/ Day Of travel cost @150 x.$50=$75 +Additional 6 faces @ $40 each=$240 For a total of $590 all services rendered Obviously, the less I have to travel and the smaller the wedding, the more cost effective for you! Weddings are intensive projects that span several days, so the charge is a little more complicated to narrow down exactly without knowing all the details. In addition, and as stated previously, I do offer other application services as well as spa packages but these are one time costs that are not nearly as in-depth! Things like pedicures or lash extensions that need to be done prior to your wedding are always an option!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial contact always yields quickest results! I'm constantly keeping a full calendar but encourage all who attempt to call me to leave a detailed voicemail that includes their name, telephone number and the reason they called. I don't always see emails, so the phone is by far the best way to receive a prompt response. I hold myself to the highest standards and never wish to leave ANY client dissatisfied, so I ask all who reach out to me to be clear in their convictions. Do not hesitate to pick my brain at any given time. Ask the questions and expect honest answers-I will not sugar coat!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the Laird Institute of Spa Therapy in 2014. From there, I received certification in advanced skin care, including microdermabrasion, eyelash extensions and more! Most of my makeup artistry skills I learned on my own, although I was instructed through the Cinderella Modeling Agency on application of both color and black and white portrait photography in 1999. I'm endlessly reading through magazines for the latest trends, newest products, etc. I always have my eyes open for deals on items/services and stay up-to-date via mailing lists, email clubs and more! I continued my education through the International Dermal Institute as well as the Aveda Institute.
