Introduction: I am building a portrait business around creating beautiful memories of cherished events. I treat my clients as friends, and try to get to know them and figure out exactly what sort of style will be perfect for their family, and stay with their family through events and moments as portraits become weddings and parties, become maternity pictures, become portraits, and turn into weddings and parties again. Very little is as rewarding to me as showing a picture to a bride and having her eyes well up and having her say, "I was hoping you saw that."

Ryan took beautiful photographs for our wedding in June. He did a great job capturing the small candid moments as well as the bigger, formal portraits we wanted. We appreciated his excellent work and communication and will definitely have him take photographs for us again in the future.

Ryan did an amazing job with our engagement photos! Even on a dreary day, he came out and took photos of us before the rain started. With not much time before the storm, we managed to get so many gorgeous photos that we can share with our family and friends. We are using him for our wedding because we liked the pictures so much!

Ryan did a couples session with me and my boyfriend yesterday and we are so thrilled with the results. Not only did he make the photo shoot lots of fun but we love love LOVE our photos. We liked Ryan at first impression and even more after we saw the pictures. I would definitely recommend him as the wedding photographer. He charges very reasonable. He was very simple when meeting us yet very professional. He stated what was expected from him and what was expected from us. (He did everything we expected of him and more.) While in preparation for the wedding he asked us to send him a list of things we would want for him to take a photo of. We created a big list and he was great enough to catch every moment specified on that list and more. During the picture time he was sharp and responsive to our requests. Im not sure if he is always going to work with his fiancé but she helped a lot even sometimes she helped us. He was very nice and patient during the entire day. Many people told us (after seeing the pictures) that we got lucky to have him as our photographer, as some people paid a lot more money for worst service and pictures. He delivered the pictures in a timely matter and actually gave us few splendid pictures the same day of the wedding and few more during the honeymoon week, that was so sweet of him. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My fiance is an event coordinator, and she helps me stay afloat on the latest trends and styles in weddings. Wedding magazines and Pintrest are excellent for artistic trends, and knowing what brides will be asking for and expecting. Additionally, as a photographer, I make it a point to regularly upgrade my equipment to be cutting edge. While the camera doesn't make the photographer, having the best tool rarely hurts.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been the photographer for my friends since I was in school and did much of the work for our yearbooks. I've always wanted it to be my career, but it was only recently that my fiance helped me reach the point where we decided to start turning "some day" into "today".
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Think about the total cost of the rest of your wedding, and try and keep in mind that a good photographer charges what they do because their job is to make sure you remember everything else, AND the entire day!
