FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I keep up with industry standards through social media, tv, online training.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had a tragic start to this... I was a young bride 24 years ago and my husband and I were looking to buy the shop, It is located in a small strip center that my parents own. My Dad had an electronics store and retired and put all 2 of his daughters out of work. So I litterally got married 3 days before we sold our business, then we heard that the owners of the shop wanted to sell. While we were looking at the shop my husband of 5 months and 22 days was killed by a drunk driver. After about 4 months of mourning, my mother bought the store and put me to work. It litterally saved my life. I understand how much flowers can comfort and bring joy to all aspects of life, after what I have been through. Flowers are just a beautiful thing and can make you smile when you hurt, when you're angry, when you are grieving, and when you are happy they can make you happier!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I first meet with the bride and her entourage and discuss what is needed and wanted, if need be, I go to the venues if the bride wants an on site quote, I prepare all the bridal bouquets, all flowers for the wedding party, venue, reception, rehersal, etc... in house.
