The Aquaponics Garden

Introduction: Aquaponics is the future of gardening. We're working toward supplying families with eco-friendly solutions to growing their own chemical and pesticide-free vegetables along with the ability to grow clean, healthy and edible fish in the same backyard system which uses 90% less water than a dirt garden while producing the same or more produce. With food prices and everything else becoming more costy, it's time for the average family to begin searching for ways to become more self-sufficient. Aquaponics is a method to eat healthier at a hugely reduced cost on edible fish and vegetables. With Aquaponics, you know what's in your fish and vegetables, which makes this as close to organic as you can get. Aquaponics is the production of edible vegetables and fish growing in a weed-free, low water usage system. The fertilizer for the plants to grow, the plants, the fish supply, composting worms and naturally occurring beneficial bacteria clean the water for the fish. Aquaponics is a water miser; to the fish tank will be returned any water unused by the plants. This water can be indefinitely used and only needs replacing when lost through evaporation and transpiration. Raised beds aid you in keeping from over stressing your back, and they are 100% weed-free, since everything grows in rock, not in dirt, thus also resulting to a major reduction in pests and bugs. Aquaponics is totally scalable; you start with a small backyard system and add to it as your needs grow, and expand the system to increase your produce yield with more vegetables and fish. Aquaponics is based on the productive systems as they're found in nature and can be loosely described as the combination of aquaculture and hydroponics What would happen if there wasn't any produce in the supermarkets? What would the average family do? Aquaponics can provide vegetables and protein, edible fish, in one water saving backyard system that’s easy to maintain and easy to learn.
