Introduction: We teach self-defense at the "After School Karate Academy": a unique blend of Kenpo karate, Shaolin kung fu, and key aspect of various other styles such as Kali sticks and Gracie Brazilian Jujitsu.
Since 1980, Chris Redmond, the head trainer at the "After School Karate Academy" has trained within the martial arts. In addition, he has a business degree from UNC-Cameron School of Business, and he presently teaches 6th through 8th grade pupils (boys youth group) at College Acres Baptist Church on Eastwood Rd.
Carol Redmond holds a communication degree from UNC-Wilmington. She is currently the College Acres Baptist Church's preschool connection leader and she teaches the 4-year-old class.
Carol has been educated by the Cape Fear Literacy Council in tutoring, and she has accomplished "Leadership Wilmington." Carol will help the students with finishing homework assignments.
