FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My session fee includes: - Digital gallery with 50 hand-picked and edited images. - 60 to 90 minutes of shooting. - Unlimited head swaps. - Blemish removal - Distraction Removal - Color grading - Bespoke Post Production - Full raw, unedited images upon request. I like to keep it simple by only charging a flat fee. This ensures that you know what you are getting, there are no gimmicks or hidden stipulations. I am here to make the best images for you, not to complicate your life.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To book a session, half the session fee is required to lock the date. This is a fully refundable amount in case of inclement weather. sickness, or for any reason! Once the session is booked, we can text or have a phone call to discuss, "what is important to you." The shots you cannot live without and the approach you'd like to take with your session. We can take a formal approach to the session, with poses; or an informal approach with candids; or a mix of both
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My formal education is not in photography. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Filmmaking from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. My education in Photography came from years of trial and error. Finding my style. Connecting with the camera. I shot creative photography for many years before shooting portraits, so my images originate from my background of making art. I've also worked as a cinematographer which is an order of magnitude more difficult than photography. Cinematography is slower, and you must have a more refined understanding of lenses, lighting, and post-production to be successful at it.
