I have had a full time job in retail loss prevention for 20 years and a part time job at a veterinary office for 16. I have been moonlighting as a pet-sitter for about 7.

I had a wonderful experience with Jennifer ! Will definitely ask her to petsit for my 3 kitties again ! Am planning to use her in July when I will be gone for a week. She was so professional. Called back quickly. Came by and asked all the appropiate questions. Gave me several forms to fill out which included giving all the info about each cat and it's needs. Send me text messages with pictures while I was gone ! Have used other services and wasn't happy with the care. This was a great experience and very pleased.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $15-$18 a visit for dogs and $12-$15 a visit for cats and small animals. I keep some pets with me at home for $20 a day. If I take a pet to an appointment I charge $15 for time and gas within reason.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love to work with animals and to be my own boss. I like to be able to negotiate with my clients without having to get the okay from someone else.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I visit alot of pets in their homes. I take care of small things during clients' vacations that they would like kept up.Picking up the yard, emptying the garbage, taking in the mail. I also have some clients that take their pets with them sometimes and I just come over to water their plants and tend to the garden.
