- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour and if you are a regular house cleaning client, it becomes a guaranteed flat fee per time after I have cleaned the house 4 or 5 time to see how long it takes and we agree on it. I am happy to do extras with 24 hours notice that will be added at the hourly rate to the next cleaning. My current rate is $20 per hour and will be going to$23 per hour on 1/1/2021. I am flexible in what I will do and how many hours total and I am happy to work with you if you have a budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I have been contacted by someone for new house cleaning services, I will answer any questions they have and find out what services they need, how often, and the size of their house. We will then schedule a time for me to come take a walk through with the client room by room to discuss what needs to be done. I will try to estimate how long it will take me to do everything requested to be done, but will not know the guaranteed hours a client will pay for until I have cleaned the house over a period of time... around 4 to 5 cleanings or less as it depends on the size of the house and what needs to be one.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had my house cleaning business for 15 years although I have a degree in Early Childhood Education which I worked in for 20 years before starting my house cleaning business. I worked in a preschool for 3 years before College and did all of the end of the day cleaning in either the upper or lower level of the building, including bathrooms, floors, dishes, and classroom areas. After college, I started an infant/toddler program for an existing preschool and was the Director and Head teacher in the infant room. I had to set up the cleaning standards to comply with the Health Department and train all teachers hired about all measures to follow daily to keep a high quality program. I was born to clean and/or organize and am always cleaning something or organizing at home...sometimes it happens at my clients houses too! (which I do not charge them for since I choose to do it)
