During the estimate, we noted that it would likely require 2–3 coats on the walls and 1 coat on the ceiling. As sometimes happens when transitioning from dark to light, it ultimately took 4 coats to achieve the quality and coverage needed for your satisfaction. Before providing the estimate, I explained that if additional coats were required, there would be an additional cost. I also informed you of the approximate added amount before leaving the job site, and you expressed surprise in a positive way—mentioning that you expected the extra cost to be higher. Afterward, we exchanged emails with your husband, who requested that we remove all additional labor charges and only honor the original estimate. We felt this was unprofessional and did not reflect the significant amount of time and effort our team put in to ensure your project was completed correctly and to a high standard. We truly apologize for any inconvenience caused by the additional labor charges on your invoice. Our goal was to deliver the best possible outcome, and we priced the extra work fairly. As a business, we are unable to provide additional labor at no cost, and we hope you understand. Thank you for your time and for allowing us to complete your project.
