What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over the years continued to meet with many learned and gifted healers, from cultures all around the world -- Grandmothers and Grandfathers of great sensitivity, compassion, and integrity. These associations have helped to strengthen my capacity as a healer and teacher, with Reiki as well as with the other modalities I have mastered.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Long ago - over 40 years ago -- a number of close friends and family members approached me independently, over the course of a year or two, to tell me that they had dreamed that I was a healer and a teacher of healers. I at first found this to be fantastical, and all but inconceivable from the world view I had gained through growing up and attending school and university. But then the very things my friends and family had seen began to unfold in my life, and I became focused on service as a healer and teacher.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most often I am called upon as a Reiki teacher, although over 30 years of practice I have worked directly with people on a wide range of physical and emotional challenges -- including cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, broken bones, migraine headaches. pre-op and post-op support, and general stress reduction.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Reiki is simple, non-intrusive, and effective. It never causes harm, and it reliably helps -- thus, it is a wonderful complementary therapy in conjunction with a wide range of therapies, including modern scientific-based medicine. Over 80 US-based hospitals offer Reiki therapy as a complementary service, and there is a growing body of scientific studies attesting to its benefits.
