- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up with photography, first with my mother and taking photos to the county fair, then taking it as a project in 4-H for 11 years. In college I found a job working as an event photographer for The Picture Man in Lincoln. I started doing weddings and then portrait and studio photography. I have always enjoyed the challenge of getting that great photo and meeting all sorts of people.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Shadetree does all types of photography. The majority of the work is Wedding Photography and Senior Portraits. Some of the other photography Shadetree does is Family Portraits, Groups and Reunions, Proms, Homecomings, Team Sports, Business Portraits, Printed products such as grad announcements, wedding invites, etc, Photo Restorations, and more.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Get all the details as much as possible. Ask every question you can think of. Look for someone who is upfront and has no hidden fees. Compare fees and photo prices, no upfront costs may have high product prices.
