Billy was amazing and saved me in my last minute panic where my bridesmaid dress didn’t fit me around the bust right before my best friend’s wedding! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My alteration prices are much less than the Bridal stores.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For a custom design, we usually meet at a fabric store to choose fabtics, pattern, and materials. I also take measurements at that time. I charge $25 for this consultation and collect 1/2 of the project estimate as a deposit.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into sewing as a girl in 4-H. I worked in a custom drapery business during college and I have sewn almost anything you can imagine and some things that I never imagined.
