DJ Alan is responsible for making our entire wedding the most special day of our lives. He accommodated all our special requests, even helping me surprise my husband with a special live performance of a song. He knew exactly what to play to keep everyone dancing and even managed to get the event back on track after a rain/sleet delay! I cannot say enough wonderful things about DJ Alan and not only would I use his services again in a heartbeat, but I would 100% recommend him for any event! Thank you DJ Alan! ~Krystle & Ryan

I hired DJ Alan for my wedding reception. Everything went as planned and he was very professional and fun. 5 Stars! I wouldn't change a thing. He came with enough time to set up and have the music ready for when guests arrived. He played a great combination of classical and dance (Just what I asked for). I loved that he confirmed my first dance song with me first so he knew he was playing the right song. I also appreciate the time he takes to get to know his clients.I would recommend DJ Alan to anyone, for any occasion. Thank you so much!

I was very pleased with Alan and his music sound system, selection and lighting. I requested that Alan focus on playing the music and less on "entertaining" the crowd with banter, etc. He did exactly what I asked, focused on reading the crowd and playing music that kept people on the dance floor, winding down at appropriate points for slow dance sessions. I was not convinced we would get the men out to dance but Alan played the right tunes and I had a vast majority of my guest list on the dance floor. Alan also offers an online music request for must play, possible play and do not play and allows your guests to chime in if invited to do so. I really liked the opportunity to preselect the music Alan would choose to play during the 5 hour event. I would highly recommend Alan to DJ your event, small or large- the price is great and you get so much more value for the money! Great Job Alan!

DJ Alan did a great job with our wedding 6/4/2016! We were able to meet in person weeks before to plan and discuss, and he promptly got back to us by email with any questions throughout the whole planning process (literally within hours!). The day of, he arrived early and helped set up our ceremony area and equip it with microphones, etc. The DJ set up and equipment was professional and classy looking. His client interface with songs to choose from was fun and easy to use and it was great hearing the songs play that I had chosen! Thanks DJ ALAN !!!!!!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    A friend of mine was DJ'ing, and I was doing lights for her in a small Boston Club. I started to buy records and learn how to mix. And it just went on from there.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

    Not all DJ's are equal! Beat syncing is an Art, when I first started DJ'ing, I worked on Tech SL1200 Mark II Turntables, lugging around 6-10 crates of vinyl records. Playing them was an art, I have to touch and feel the album as it spun on the turntable to match the beats up with the next song, for a smooth and perfect transition.
