When initially researching someone to build my deck, I had no knowledge of who was the best fit for me. Adam Lans of Tight Knot Design Build LLC was the only builder I could find who specialized in deck construction. Furthermore, his projects were rated highly based on past customer reviews. Right from my initial email to Adam, I knew I was dealing with a real professional. Adam immediately returned my email and maintained ongoing communication as he prepped for the build. He based the wood choice on my color and maintenance preferences and suggested the appropriate deck size based on location constraints. Finally, I liked that Adam studied architecture which guaranteed a critical eye toward the deck construction. Both Adam and his business associate, Patrick Binder, made quick work of the deck finishing within 4 days. The construction was solid and the craftmanship surpassed my expectations. The results were well worth the price. I highly recommend Tight Knot Design LLC to anyone looking for a professionally constructed and solidly build deck. You will not be disappointed.

Adam is a great professional and a friendly person. He showed up on time and gave us a thorough estimate for our project using high quality materials. We haven’t move forward unfortunately only because of a financial limitation on our end. We are looking forward to work with Adam in the near future. I’d highly recommend him.

I always guarantee the price that I give clients on the estimate. They will not pay a penny more than the price I give them prior to work, contractually guaranteed.

I'll visit, talk with the client about their project, and propose an estimate a few days after the meeting. Often, I spend time resolving design with the client prior to commencing construction
