The quality of work surpasses our expectations. We were amazed by the results of our 1st pup (1yr. old/12 mos.). In fact, we were so amazed that we enrolled our other 2 dogs (1yr. and 3yrs.). It was evident that our trainer DJay, valued our concerns for the adaptability (to a new environment) of our canine family as well. He was responsive in providing us with updates. Receiving the level of training consistency, daily routines and structures at the pace and frequency that we were unable to do ourselves was well worth the boarder training at BuyingTimeK9. Seeing the change in behavior with our 3 yr. old, Pitbull Terrier, and overcoming his reactive behavior due to trauma was a blessing for him to re-establish trust in a safe and secure environment. In addition, the support DJay provided us in the transition process allowed us to set-up the best structured routines, realistic and yet practical everyday living supports necessary for our canine's family needs.

DJ provided excellent care and training services during a month long board and train arrangement. I was looking for a reputable dog trainer/business to help bring my dog to the next level in dog training prior to a family visiting. Being a working mom with 2 young kids my life is very busy and it’s difficult for me to consistently train my beloved pet dog to get him to where I’d like for him to be. After much research I learned about DJ at BuyingTimeK9. During our initial conversation I found him to be patient, knowledgeable and attentive to what our needs were. After our first face to face meeting I knew DJ was equipped to handle my dogs energetic nature and that DJ had better potential of getting my dog trained faster than I could. I checked out his social media accounts and seen how well he trained his other dogs and it made my heart smile. I knew I was making the right decision with bringing my dog to him for training. Due to family coming over for the holidays I wanted our dog to accelerate in his training so I signed up for a month long board and train session. Wow! I’m so glad I did. One of the best decisions I made last year!! My dog came back a better dog and I didn’t feel overwhelmed during our family’s holiday stay. Throughout the month I received frequent updates pictures and videos of the progress my dog was making. Anytime I needed to call to check in I was able to and received a call back within 2 hours if I couldn’t get someone on the phone. Most importantly, DJ provided instruction on what I need to do at home to maintain the progress. My dog was less anxious and more calm. He demonstrated much better obedience skills and didn’t jump on the kids anymore. He learned to heel, stay in dog bed, amongst other things. I was so happy with the results I decided to sign up for personal dog training lessons for our family in our home. Another great decision, now my kids are beginning to learn how to act around the dog and handle the dog too. It’s a lot of work but I’m investing into the safety and well being of our household. DJ is a reliable source that I can call in for service, support or advice. I highly recommend his service if you want results with an experienced, down to earth, reliable and professional dog trainer. I give him 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our prices are competitive with other experienced trainers in the areas we service. We usually provide a significantly discounted rate for new customers for a short time at each new year and in the beginning of the spring. In addition, anyone who works as a first responder as well, people with disabilities are offered a discounted rate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our typical process for working with new customers starts with a phone call. In this phone conversation I’d like to gather information such as the type of dog, living arrangements for the dog (house or apartment), if the dog is crate trained and desired service from me for you and your dog. In addition, I like to allow the potential customer to ask me questions to give insight into my training style and degree of experience. Lastly, I’d like to set up an evaluation of the dog so I can bond with the dog and observer his/her personality.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 30 years of experience with training pet dogs in basic/general obedience as well as advance training in areas such as detection and deterrent K9 services.
