I’m committed to not only using my knowledge and skills in the classroom, but also and more importantly, to be an integral part of my student’s development. This sincere interest in the pupils’ personal growth has been my primary motivation when applying for this job. I’ve taught English in the Dominican Republic to children between the ages of 5-18 years old. I’ve worked with adults, teens and everything in between. Under my tutelage, my students have achieved all of their academic and professional goals. I hope I can support your aspirations as well!

Best tutor ever! Leslie provides such an immersive experience when tutoring. It wasn’t just reading from a book and repeating words, she had conversations with me and helped me practice speaking Spanish in everyday situations. I am able to read and write proficiently as well as hold a conversation locally (which I did on my trip to the Dominican Republic, with absolute confidence). I highly recommend!

I hired Leslie to help tutor my son a few months ago for a spelling B pre Covid. The attention she gave my son was second to none. Her ability to make my son feel comfortable around her while still educating him was a relief. Most days he was excited to see her for his lessons. Recently I’ve rehired Leslie to prepare my son for the coming school year as it’ll be his first time in middle school.

Leslie was such a great Spanish tutor to my 3 yr old daughter. She helped her learn basic sight words in Spanish as well as in English. Leslie was always on time and professional when ever she was talking to me or to my daughter. I have recommended her to some of my peers because of her great work
