Initially contracted Danny to install 2 Ecobee thermostats, which he initially did. Due to the above average temperatures did not have a need to put the heat on until this week. My house has 2 zone heat and we had initially only put the heat on upstairs since it got colder at night. We than went to put the heat on downstairs and the thermostat kept cycling and the heat would not turn on. We called Ecobee’s customer support and they informed us that it was a wiring issue and the unit was not correctly connected to the thermostat. My wife than reached out to Danny and left a message which was not returned. I than reached out through a message on the Thumbtack website which was ignored. I finally got a hold of him on the phone and explained the situation to him. His response was “what would you like me to do”, said there were only two wires and he did the job correctly and was unwilling to come out and look at it. Even after telling him again what Ecobee said he told me I just need to program the thermostat. Unfortunately that can’t be done if it wasn’t connected correctly. He continued to stand by his work even though the thermostat will not turn on the heat in my downstairs. Than proceeded to tell me to calm down since I was upset that he was unwilling to make this right so I informed him I will be updating this review to express my displeasure and will be reporting him to the NJ Division of Taxation as he requested the check for initial payment be made out to cash to avoid paying tax on the service performed. After I said he said “do what you have to do” and hung up on me

Sorry We couldn’t answer your call right away We also sorry that you couldn’t wait, we try to answer all the emergency calls and services but some time is hard to take care all the calls and services the same day ; the fact that the unit is not working don’t necessary is because the thermostat in bad, any way thanks for the review and god bless you,,,,,,,,,,
