- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There is always a healthy way to sing :) I'm a huge believer that everyone can sing, and that anyone can learn how to sing better, how to listen and feel their voice, and how to improve own vocal abilities, while working on their own style. I tend to bring my students to analyze what they are doing, to understand and control it, along with their artistic taste. Healthy singing techniques doesn't have style boundaries, and applies to singing in general. But as you probably heard other voice teachers imply, voice training is a very slow and deliberate process. During the lesson we exercises and acquaint the student with their instrument. Later we are applying the gained technical knowledge to the song you chose to work on. I myself am a trained legit musical Theater and Opera singer (who started in Pop and Rock), working and performing in NY NJ & PA mostly. But through the years I taught students who sang Pop, Rock, Jazz, Traditional, Musical Theater & Classic. I'm always open to new materials and new songs, and if I don't know the material you want to sing, just bring a copy of the music or chords, and we'll trust my pianist skills.
