Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I help individuals and organizations understand and use strong foundational leadership to advance their personal goals and the mission of their organizations. I have prepared myself for my work by becoming a John Maxwell certified speaker, trainer and coach, and by investing a great deal of time studying the causes of chronic procrastination, the frustration and unhappiness if causes, how to overcome it AND how to sustain these changes over the long term. This last point is of real concern to me: I don't offer quick fixes based on motivational clichés. My most fundamental goal to effect change that lasts a lifetime. My goal is to help individuals and organizations achieve a level of what I call "mature productivity" - a level of effectiveness that can be sustained every day, that reduces counterproductive stress (there is such a thing as positive stress), and that enables everyone in the group to enjoy their work and to find a sense of real satisfaction that makes life fulfilling and uplifting. For me, my work is motivated by my desire to share what I've learned from my own experiences battling procrastination. I love my work. It is exciting, fun and remarkably rewarding.

I recently spent a very enjoyable and enlightening morning attending one of Dave’s presentations on overcoming procrastination. Dave presented a very well organized game plan for dealing with this hindrance to productivity. I was amazed at how he was able to pack so much thoroughness into such a condensed summarization of how to attack this problem. His presentation held my interest throughout. I came away not only with a better understanding of the root causes of procrastination, but also with the means to deal with it effectively in both my business and personal life. I can highly recommend Dave on the basis of my personal experience. Time spent attending one of his sessions is time well spent. __Jim O’Rourke, CEO, L J Technologies L.L.C.

Organizing a debate team for adults and serving as the lead speaker in the group. Dave did a first-rate job of mobilizing the participants and then set a great example for them as an insightful and inspiring speaker

I have heard hundreds of educational and motivational speakers over the years, but I am singularly impressed with the talents of Mr. Chapman. He is not only articulate, but he utilizes inflection to keep his audience interested. What truly impresses me is the way that he makes each and every member of the audience feel as if they having a private conversation with Mr. Chapman. That is a truly unique talent. I have since employed Dave as my personal coach. His advice has improved my skills exponentially. Scot Bennett

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My fees encompass four types of work: Speaking, training, coaching, and webinars. For some of my work I charge a flat fee, sometimes a fee determined by the number of people participating in the program and sometimes an hourly rate. I make every effort to work within my clients' budget and will provide with a detailed quote as soon as I know the specifics of your needs.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to find out what your needs and objectives are to determine if we are a good match for one another. If the skills and programs I offer, as outlined here and in my website, look interesting to you, a telephone conversation followed by a face-to-face meeting are a good idea. Before delivering a talk, I like to visit the location of the event to become familiar with the facilities and the audio-visual resources. This visit also enables me to come up with ideas to make my talk relevant to your organization and your people.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've been speaking professionally for about twelve years now. I'm an Advanced Communicator and an Advanced Leader with Toastmasters International, and will be awarded my Distinguished Toastmaster Certificate at the Toastmasters District 83 Conference in November of this year. I am a John Maxwell Certified Speaker, Trainer and Coach. I teach two programs at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Rutgers University. When a minister is on sabbatical or unable to lead a worship service in of the congregations of our church, I frequently fill in and deliver the sermon. I have led over eighty worship service in 20 congregations in five states.
