I've worked with Pam Kramer since 1991, and we've probably collaborated on 50 or so projects. She remains the most conscientious, professional and reliable casting director I know. Pam makes my own work much easier, because she is sort of a "one stop shop" for talent. Saves me many hours, which I'd otherwise have to spend sorting through headshots and arranging auditions. She has never disappointed me with any casting decisions, and I'd hire her again in a heartbeat. As a bonus, Pam is also a fine makeup artist. I have often hired her for both jobs on the same project. This lets her step into a sort of 2nd AD role, which adds value to her work and efficiency to my shoots. Thanks Pam!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I usually greet the talent and make sure their comfortable before beginning. My job is to keep an eye on them & or video screen during the shooting process to make sure that they are not shining. Neaten any stray hairs, adjust collars or fuzz on their clothes.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Besides having the ability for the craft, having a personality that is adabtable to all situations is very important. We, the make up artist are the first person that they meet on set and being able to calm the talent, CEO, or just a regular person is really key.
