Wow, George Pogatsia is truly a generous and gifted acting coach. He held nothing back and was fully invested in our training time together from the moment he walked into my apartment. I wanted to work on monologues for an upcoming audition and he requested I forward them to him in advance which I did. Before he even arrived he started asking me questions to get a sense of what we would need to draw on for each piece and it provided incredible insight and direction for the first run I even tried with the monlogues. If you are looking for someone who will help you and call you out when he doesn't believe what you are saying give George a call. This guy knows his stuff! He's very approachable, easy to work with and will be in your corner for every minute you spend with him.

Who is George Pogatsia? George is a guy who wrote and produced a film short that has me on edge waiting for the feature length movie to premiere! What I saw was raw, real and it demanded my attention.
Another side of George was his realism and direct manner of teaching, we the learners, how to act. In his direct format or style, George enables you to reach levels within that one may never have felt beforehand. In the end, there is no rote memorization of lines, but what emerges from such a script is a bootcamp student who has delivered emotion, thought and suspense to classmates in which some have produced tears at the delivery.
Coming from an environment of classroom teaching, course creation and content development, I am aware of varying teaching techniques and how different teachers may affect learning curves and who may produce different results with those learning to become actors. George Pogatsia has within him that verve that enabled his students to dig more into themselves, but more so into George to get it all. He is highly recommended to continue teaching in the arts.

George led a group of beginner actors through a 6 week acting class that met once a week. His style is raw and real. He challenged us each time to get uncomfortable and to add deep, authentic and vulnerable parts of ourselves to our work, instead of pretending to play a role. I am definitely a better actor after having taken his class.

I have learned so much studying with George and he is by far one of the greatest acting teachers I have ever come across.
