FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Summary: $45-$80 per lesson. Discount for longer-term project pricing. Needs-based discounts available. Our pricing is set on a per-lesson basis or on the basis of a continued project intended to meet your language-learning, communication, or school-subject goals over a period of multiple sessions. We charge between $45 and $80 per lesson, depending on a number of factors. And we offer our tutoring services through packages along this range of prices, together with several services designed to support and enrich the basic high-quality tutoring offering. We offer discounts based on the service's affordability for you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a voice discussion to gain an understanding of your language, communication, school subject, or other learning needs, and to explore the ways in which tutoring may help you in meeting them. After this, if you chose to, we meet for our first lesson, or session. It is free, and you are free from any obligation to continue to use our service. If you chose to proceed, we continue to meet for lessons. Toward the start of tutoring -- probably the first or second session -- we establish a set of learning goals, based on the needs identified initially, and an outline plan and schedule to meet them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our tutors are competent in the languages they teach, and, at the same time, are skilled teachers. Some have degrees or certificates in their tutoring languages, or substantial experience in them, while some have pedagogical credentials in teaching languages. Some are experienced language teachers. As tutors, we strive to help you support your needs, and are pleased with your success.
