Introduction: I am very good at teaching guitar for various reasons. I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music, I officially endorse major companies like Elixir strings, Godin guitars, Tech21nyc amps but most importantly I have 20 years of teaching experience, patience and a great ability to simplify tough subjects and convey them to the student. I have a good personality and I develop good friendships with most of my students
First of all I enjoy analyzing complex things breaking them apart to simples pieces. I also truly enjoy helping and improving others be it guitar lessons or some other area. I develop friendships, personal relationships with my students and seeing them improve lesson by lesson gives great satisfaction to me. The students realize I have a long term plan for them which I imply step by step so they trust me in their musical journeys. I almost feel like I hang out with my friends weekly, make music or talk about music, guitar and other subjects. My teaching career also made me aware of different cultures, characters of people since I taught hundreds of students from many different cultures, countries. I feel I am very lucky to be able to do this as my full time job.

My daughter began taking lessons with him when she was 12 years old. She had no prior music experience and now, four years later, she plays beautifully in the classical style. She loves her guitar and takes it with her whenever she can. From the beginning, she was given pieces that were a challenge but not more than she could handle. With Bilgehan, she was able to explore many different types of music. He has always treated her as he would any of his adult students and she has had the opportunity to perform along side them in the concerts that he organizes. An excellent teacher who is trustworthy. He is very obliging with scheduling and his prices are very fair. Highly recommend him to parents
