Introduction: I will support you in exploring your movement patterns through yoga poses and breath. I am trained in alignment Yoga as well as vinyasa, restorative, and prenatal. No experience necessary. I encourage you to come as you are--we will start from there. In a one-on-one practice we can tailor specifically to you--your experience, your yoga practice, your mood. My practice is a balance of detail oriented alignment work and sweet, flowing, intuitive movement. I approach yoga as a pathway to the heart. We explore the body and mind in order to connect to our essence.

Doing yoga with Lauren is a unique and exceptional experience. She's truly one of the best yoga instructors I've had the chance to work with! She takes time to individualize her classes for each individual in class, she is thoughtful, patient and an amazing teacher. I took pre-natal and post natal classes with her and I feel that I owe my easy recovery to her yoga classes. Her classes are more than yoga, she creates a community and environment of mindfulness and presence. She organized a lactation class for a bunch of epxecting mothers and she worked with a group of us after we all had babies to try to coordinate classes together. She always finds a way to make classes special. Taking classes with Lauren was truly one of the best decisions I have made!

Lauren is a very mindful teacher who is always punctual to her classes from start to completion. Before class, she asks if I have injuries or requests before class starts which I’m grateful that she does that. Lauren makes sure that her students understand the integrity of the yoga poses when it comes to safety, alignment, etc. She asks before giving adjustments in her yoga classes, which I appreciate.

Lauren's style of yoga has been a great match for me. Her knowledge of the anatomy of the body, and her love and passion for yoga makes her an amazing teacher. When l first met Lauren l had lower back pain, knee problems, and my sciatic nerve was inflamed. I didn't want to give up on my yoga practice, but the discomfort l felt practicing was intense. After working with Lauren for almost three years, my practice has become stronger. I have learned to improvise and modify poses that has strengthened my body and alleviated much of the discomfort. She has inspired me to be myself and to go deeper into my practice. My experience working with Lauren has surpassed all of my prior yoga practice.

Lauren's class is amazing and I'm so happy I found it during my pregnancy. I attended weekly from 16 weeks through 39 weeks and it truly kept me sane! On days I felt like a blob on the couch it helped me feel confident, strong and flexible. And it also helped me prepare for labor by teaching me focus and breathing techniques. She is a great teacher, the classes are small and every move is modified for whatever stage of pregnancy you are in. I highly recommend it!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Pricing depends on location, time of day, and duration of practice. The per session rate can be reduced by purchasing a package of sessions.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    In our first session we will talk about your goals and any issues that you may be having. We will look at some basic poses and body movements in order to determine how to proceed.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have a 200 hour certification in Bhakti vinyasa yoga, a 200 hour certification in alignment yoga, and a 40 hour training in prenatal yoga. I have completed additional learning in yoga for back care and scoliosis.
