Please beware of some handymen who cunningly set a low rate to attract you to pick them for an assignment. When they arrive, they will deceptively quote you a much higher rate. Why do they do this because we as homeowners allow it. What I have described is this new thumbtack participant, he was scheduled to do a job and I was honest with what expected and he agreed. He didn't show up on the scheduled day wasting my whole day and time, further he showed a lack of commitment and interest to keep his word to do the job. I would not recommend him and hold him to the rate he advertised. What is critically important he completely showed no care or empathy for his treatment toward me.
