I cannot recommend Remy enough! He captured my surprise proposal perfectly. He was professional, charismatic, and made us feel incredibly comfortable throughout the entire session. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Travel is always included in pricing, it’ll never be an add-on request. Payment plans are always available and dependent on the size and date of the project; a 1-hour portrait session in 2 weeks or more can be split 50/50 with 50% up from and 50% due the day before, a 12-hour wedding next year can be broken up however is comfortable for you.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most on Thumbtack are no nonsense and are ready to schedule, so I usually cut to the chase: here’s my cost, here’s some sample images and even a gallery or two, what’s your budget? It’s ok to ask me questions or pit me against another photographer for price—we’ll see what makes sense for everyone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been into photography since I was 11 years old, really practicing and honing my skills since 2018. I’m completely self taught with only one formal class in middle school.
