FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I normally like to meet my customer in person to answer any questions and to brainstorm with them to make their event special. I enjoy making cocktail menus of drinks that I came up with so I like to ask my customer what they like to drink and I make drinks according to their tastes. I also type up a contract for the customer to ensure that I will be working at their event, from experience I have seen a lot of customers complain about people who they have hired not show up to the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a bartender for five years and I have worked in many different bar settings. I have worked in dive bars, college bars, martini bars and high end restaurants which valued customer care. By working in these different environments I have sharpened different skills ranging from the quality of the drink to speed and efficiency
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been fond of being a bartender and commanding the bar. I was working as waiter at a restaurant and one of my co-workers worked at another restaurant. One day he casually mentioned how one of their bartenders got fired for getting drunk while working. The moment I heard the news I jumped on the opportunity and in less than a month I was tending the bar.
