- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have worked in the lucrative restaurant industry for over 15 years. Ever since I was kid I knew I wanted to be on the food industry, I just didn’t know exactly where in the food industry I wanted to be so I literally have tried it all; hosting, serving, managing, kitchen! A chef I worked for always told me that I had heart for the food industry because of the way I worked. He always asked to set his appetizers up for him (Cold and Hot Antipasto’s) because I would create food Art with the plates and customers loved it! Then the light bulb clicked! I thought to myself I could be doing these boards and trays for myself and open my own business. And so I did! Best decision I have ever made. Following me dreams and making people smile along the way!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I made a charcuterie board for a party of 20. They weren’t picky, they just wanted all things Italian on the Cold Antipasto board which is one of my specialities. I had so much fun working with this customer as she gave me complete creative freedom to do what I thought was best with the board. The day of the party she was SO happy and her all guest loved it too! That’s what it’s all about for me, making people smile and building life connections! My costumers and her guests have been back several times and I love it!
