Evis isa great trainer. Put me through a tough workout and knew when and how hard to push me. He was great at holding pads and working on my technique. I'd highly recommend him.
We love this dojo. We brought our son to the East Morris Karate Academy when he was not quite 5. We wanted him to learn self control, respect, personal responsibility and build his self esteem. We have seen him blossom under the guidance of Mr. Musco and his caring, firm and supportive instructors. They are all about encouraging personal achievement and positive reinforcement. Our son knows that every belt rank he has achieved was hard-earned. This is a serious karate dojo, designed to develop character and foster the life skills needed to be successful in life. Whether you have a shy child needing to come out of his or her shell, or one who is more on the "wild side," the East Morris Karate Academy is the place to go. Don't hesitate to sign up...and they have adult classes, too!
Sensei Kato is an exceptional motivator. His kickboxing classes are fun and inclusive for all fitness levels. I highly recommend Shunato Karate and Fitness.
I had taken up this art at the age of 18 years old to assist me in my job performance while under pressure/ stress. Additionally, it became more and more easier as I trained for 30 minutes each day. I was given many hours of advance specializes training from Keith Sammy, Instructor. Lion Style is an art which gives an individual the abuility to defend themselves from any angle with you legs( since you have longer reach and more power with a kick), then your hands. This is a science built art and utilizes kenitics with psychology to strike an opponent without being strike, lead an opponent into an action that allow you to strike, and confuse the opponent. To this end, Lion Style Karate gave me a life long lesson, which was transferable to my dad to day life. Jon Sumesar-Rai MIFire.E, MPS.
Shija. Alexander cohn lee isnt just an instructor, hes a life coach/mentor. A true master
I trained pretty seriously when I was younger, so I already knew what I wanted in a dojo when my daughter became old enough to start. Of course I wanted a dojo with an excellent safety record; of course I wanted skilled martial artists who were also experienced teachers; of course I wanted a traditional place, with high etiquette and behavioral standards; of course I wanted successful competitors who weren't obsessed with competition. I found all that at "the Legend", but I also found something I didn't know to look for: a community. Hanshi Scarda (the lead instructor) knows everyone who comes in: all the students and all their parents, and all of the students know most of the students. Everyone is working together to get better, and having fun doing it. My daughter is completely comfortable and at home in the dojo, and has been enjoying karate for more than two years. Me too.
The 8 year old who is bullied at school was very happy with his private lesson. He's already feeling more confident and has learned some self defense moves that are appropriate for his age, height, strength level, etc. John will be doing bi-weekly one on one self defense lessons for the next few weeks and then some. As a grandma, I'm very happy my grandon is learning how to protect himself, confidence, how to get out of bully situations, etc.

The Kyudokan dojo practices the style of karate that is well-known as Orthodox Goju Ryu. Goju Ryu is a traditional art from Okinawa, the homeland of karate. The karate style known as Goju Ryu was founded and developed by Chojun Miyagi (1888 - 1953). Meaning hard/soft, Goju is a self-defense system that focuses on close range fighting with efficiency of movement and also building confidence through personal development. Kyudokan means, "The school that is searching for the way". We strive to share the true history of Goju Ryu Karate for all generations. We also work with our brothers and sisters throughout the world in researching, training, and teaching the ideals of karate-do.

With a base style of Goju, the school's teachings branch off from traditional karate punches and kicks, to sparring, to Judo throws, to grappling, and so much more! Ven Jitsu Goju incorporates several types of sparring as well as Kata (or forms), the lifeline of the traditional art of Goju.
