- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With new students, I ask about previous experiences they have had with the French language. I ask students to speak about their preferred leaning styles and state their language goals. In response, I prepare a variety of activities which are thorough and rigorous and that relate directly to what my students are studying. These carefully selected activities are intended to reinforce what students are currently learning and to globally enhance their language skills.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in French and Psychology with a minor in Sociology and an ESL Certification. I studied French language, culture and literature. I have lived, worked and traveled extensively in Southern France. I received a Fulbright Grant from The US Department of State in 2011 via The Classroom Teacher Exchange Program. Additionally, I regularly participate in the New Jersey World Language Summer Technology Institute, The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Workshops as well as the American Teachers of Foreign Languages(AATF) professional development workshops and the Foreign Language Educators of New Jersey (FLENJ) professional development seminars.
