FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated.... I have some baseline costs/pricing that I cannot fall below, but I try to work within budgets. That is why I need to know the true budget, so I can manipulate my services to make it work.... plain and simpleÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ I certainly not in the business to turn people away, I want the work, so my clients and I have to work together to find that common ground that leaves everyone happy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Simple answer, yes. I take a few classes now and then...it a good practice to know what is going on in the business, meet other photographers, be humbled by great photographers, and know that if I had time and freedom with a mix of disposable income.... all I would ever do is photograph people and places...and tell the true stories that need to be photographed and told
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked in printing, advertising, publishing and corporate for 30 years. I had a hand in photography, art and graphics for a film/pre-press position. That means that I critiqued thousands of award winning pieces of artwork before they where reproduced for market. I humbly though that "I can do this." And I can and do.... but learning never ends and I improve with every shot I take.
