She helped me change my relationship with food. Initially I didn't like the look of healthy food, it never looked appealing, so I would avoid it. I was also very comfortable with what I was eating and didnt want to change/try something new. So to help me, she would make meals for me and really worked with me with what I like and dont like, what agrees with my body and what doesnt and that changed my whole perspective on healthy food. I ended up loving the meals and felt like I could change my eating habits and make things for myself that tasted yummy, while making my body happy.Gretchen set realistic goals with me which allowed me to go after my health without feeling like the results were unreachable. She wasnt extreme in her methods at all and allowed me to share concerns, ask questions and didnt push me if I didnt want to do something.Gretchen is extremely encouraging and such a cheerleader. We knew we loved each other, we both kept trying, we both communicated but somehow it always ended in a screaming match. Or one of us upping the other and us spending weeks under the same roof barely interacting to avoid arguments. We couldn’t figure out the problem….. Ameena came through for us.
