I would like to recommend Morning Glory Studios and Antonya Molleur to anyone who is considering the possibility of doing a boudoir photoshoot. My own personal photoshoot experience with Antonya was incredibly positive.
I felt entirely welcomed from the very start and I was treated with total respect and dignity throughout the entire process. Every interaction I had with Antonya whether via email or by phone fostered an absolute sense of trust. Even her website enhanced this feeling of trust. I was so pleased (and relieved) to find that a pre-shoot consultation was an integral part of the process.
Antonya worked very hard with me to understand all my hopes, needs and expectations both for the photoshoot and for the finished product. She also gave me some very thorough and well-thought-out preparation instructions for the time-line leading up to the photoshoot.
Antonya has a very calm and gentle and nurturing vocal manner. Throughout the shoot, she helped me to remain very calm and relaxed. Antonya kept me very much at ease from beginning to end.
She gave me very helpful direction whenever I needed it and she helped me to maintain a very positive mindset throughout the shoot. Antonya is very thorough and detail oriented and she made sure that we accomplished all my goals for the shoot.
I was extremely pleased with the finished product. From a technical standpoint, Antonya is a very fine photographer. Her use of lighting and shading is absolutely masterful. However, Antonya is an even better photographer from the standpoint of getting the best out of her subject. Antonya was able to capture many positive features that I did not even realize that I had.
All in all, this was a great experience. I never felt the least bit judged or criticized. More importantly, this was an incredibly liberating experience and a real self-esteem booster.
And if you are at all on the fence about pursuing an opportunity like this, I can only say one thing. Do it. It will be a great experience and you will be glad that you did it.
