FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually ask for around thirty an hour or sometimes what ever the material is going to cost is also the same as my pay. I don't like to over charge people like some big commercial companies out there.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I would like to speak with them over the phone so I can understand what it is they want done and find out when I can go see the job. When I see it I try to be honest and tell them what I think needs to be done and about how much material will cost and from their I might ask for a portion of the money to buy material return with a receipt and install or fix what I went there to fix or install. Then usually they are very happy and either give me more work or send me on my way with pay.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took and comepleted a five year apprenticeship in plumbing and pipefitting throught the local union hall 412.
