We chose the company because they responded quickly to our inquiry, were licensed and bonded. The work was done well. The house looks very nice, they put everything back and cleaned up after. Communication is slightly difficult as they speak only broken English. They were not very clear on when they were returning to finish the job after the initial patch work. After 1 week we had to call them to find out when they would be back to finish. They do not take credit cards--we found this out after the work was done. No where on the estimate does it say that, nor was I informed of that prior.

My experience with Rio Grande Lath & Plaster is that they are dependable and professional. We hired them to roof our house as well as re-stucco the entire house. The workers were on time, they worked long hours and because of this they got the job done in a timely manner. I would definitely refer Rio Grande Lath & Plaster to others as well as use them in the future.

Wish I could do 0 stars. They should not be allowed on thumbtack. I scheduled a appointment for an estimate and Hector showed up a hour and a half late ( I dealt with it).

After his estimate I scheduled the job for the next Friday morning. Friday came and no call no show. I called there office and some woman who clearly is not qualified to simply schedule appointments, gave me a story about how not enough workers showed up for work.

Again I went with it and we scheduled for the next Thursday. The day comes and again no call no show ( I’m taking off work to wait for no one to come mind you ). I tried calling the office and no one answered until late afternoon. This time Ms. Clueless said that Hector would 100% do the job on Monday. I said ok what time, let’s set a time. Her answer is that they don’t like to set appointments and that they would call when they could come 🤔. We were able to at least agree on Morning. So I went with it and when noon came around and no call no show again I called the office and no one answered.

With the fact that this company made me miss work on 3 separate days, I decided to stay home and just do the stucco job myself. It actually came out well and I feel that if Rio Grande Lathe’s craftsmenship is anything like there Buisness skill my house looks much better than it would have if they ever showed up.

Long story long, Rio Grande Lathe sucks, don’t waste your time or money on them.
