Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We base our own success on the success of our clients. When clients come to us saying that they have gone through training before, but have been unhappy, we always reassure them that this is typically not their own shortcoming. We feel it is the job of the trainer to ensure their client's success. We have had great results working with clients with every breed and type of dog. We attribute this to our "people-centered" approach, which trains owners right alongside their dogs. Having worked with service dogs, it is clear that dogs have the ability to change peoples lives. But, dogs need not be service dogs to do this. Pet dogs add so much value to our world and are important family members. Many times, dogs have to be given up because of behavior problems or lack of training. It is extremely rewarding to help dogs stay in their homes and to help build stronger bonds between owners and their pets.

My sister hired Ms Givens and told me to pass on her experience as she isn't so good at the computer. The lady kept changing when she was supposed to show up. One time said had to change another persons time and in the process, she took my sister's appt and changed that one. She showed up late at least one time. BUT, she was very good at her job once got there and helped my sister and her husband with their young very active, into -everything dog. Also with walking their dog without dog pulling. She has more lessons to come, but so far excellent trainer...

Hi Audrey, I know we had some miscommunication about scheduling, but I was so happy to have worked with your sister and was delighted by how wonderfully Ginger did! She is a superstar!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I offer an initial in-home assessment, which allows me to meet the dog and to discuss the client's training goals in depth. If clients sign up for further training classes, there is no charge for the assessment, otherwise the assessment costs $50. Training classes take place once oer week in the client's home. We decide the number of sessions during our first meeting, depending on the client's goals.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a master's degree in behavioral psychology, I am a certified trainer and behavior consultant, and I am a service and therapy dog trainer with more than twenty years experience.
