I’ve personally worked with Josh on and off for a decade. Josh is not only a fantastic vocal technician, but is knowledgeable with many languages and their respective pronunciations, as well as having the theatrical background to inspire intelligent acting and emotional choices for your repertoire. He is incredibly patient, diligent, and precise. He will be blunt with what you need to improve on, but will encourage you to look at it from a positive direction. He’s very kind and gives you his full attention in lessons, and many times makes time to check in with you outside of lessons. Josh is also an incredible performer, having sung with prestigious young artist programs at the start of his career, and continues to sing around the world at the world’s leading opera houses. You can learn an absurd amount just from seeing what he teaches put into action. I highly recommend Joshua Dennis as a voice teacher if you’re looking to take singing on as a career.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For a 30 minute Lesson I charge $45 and for an hour lesson I charge $75.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For a first lesson I like to have the singer bring any sing they like. We talk about goals and focus on finding the parts of the voice that are tight or rigid. I introduce exercises that help not only identify vocal tension but help to relax the vocal mechanism over time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.M. and an M.M. In vocal performance. I have taken that knowledge and turned it into a full opera career singing leading roles all around the world.
