Bill Holtorf walked out on a job owing us over $3000. He gave us many excuses and insulted me by talking over me during a phone conversation and then told me that I don't understand "the business." He cannot give an appropriate estimate and continually said the job will cost "another $2000 which raised the price of the job from $6000 to $12,000. Even then, he wanted more and finally left us hanging with unfinished work. He never supplied us with receipts despite repeated requests for them. He repeatedly told us he did not know when he could finish the job. Eventually, we had to hire someone else. He promised he would pay us back. It has now been 8 months and we have not seen a dime. This is not a man to trust. He is not a man of honor.

To all clients whom it may concern I would like to bring to your attention the top of the review that has been left from Kathy milazzo I would like to point out that she has nothing to do with my Thumbtack reviews and obviously there was some miscommunication in the job that I had done for her which was actually in Clovis New Mexico I don't need to defend myself much if you would just look at the reviews after this I am a Five Star Gold landscaper according to the reviews from The Hires on Thumbtack and would just like to say that to be able to hold that 5 star rating that it does take honesty and integrity and just plain and simple there has been a miscommunication between me and mrs. Milazzo and she is just trying to spread my name. Because she feels like she got ripped off on all the work that I did for her and all the work that was added I can honestly say and prove that I gave her an excellent deal and I am very sorry that she feels the way she feels however she has nothing to do with thumbtack I guess I could go on and on about defending myself however I believe that my reviews will speak for themself and I am definitely not out to rip anyone off or make anyone unhappy

I hired Bill The Lawn Barber because of someone else's good experience. I am glad I did. Bill did work at the preschool I have. He fixed a landscaping problem that had been a problem for over five years. His work is very professional. His pricing is very reasonable.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
this type of work varies from tree work to sprinkler systems to laying rock so pricing can be tricky but we like to average a certain amount depending on the amount of guys it takes on each job!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
we treat all customers the same with the exception of price changes for sticking with us! I am more of a personal friend by the end of my jobs then just a lawn care guy! We just genuinely care about your needs!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
all hands on experience for the past 17 years I have been learning by doing! school is great in some cases but trust me in this business it's all hands on and learn by doing! :-)
