Ciao! I'm Livia of Italian Tutor Inc., and I'm an online Italian tutor with years of experience teaching Italian to a wide range of clients, including professionals, artists, diplomats, and graduate and undergraduate students, as well as children. I taught upper-division intercultural communications in a state-run university, and I have a dual graduate degree in literature and communications. I'm fluent in both Italian and English, which makes explaining the intricacies of Italian much easier for my clients to understand; my time has been divided between the United States and Italy for several years. Coaching Italian language skills is satisfying and fun for me; I tutor Italian at every level, and my specialty is creating personalized Italian lessons to suit my individual client's proficiency level, goals, and learning style. Ms. Livia's teachings have been a true gift to our entire family! Her Italian lessons have helped me, my husband, and our young daughter. She is beyond professional while still being approachable. Ms. Livia is so knowledgeable, and is able to explain the material in a concise and easy to understand manner. I would highly recommmend her to anyone.

Livea is an excellent tutor who not only teaches me Italian but also explains many things about Italy and the language that I would not have learned on Rosetta Stone. She is a very kind woman who has a passion for tutoring and it shows with her lessons. I would highly recommend her. She is wonderful.

Livia is an excellent teacher! She is spirited and generous. We worked together once a week for about 6 weeks to improve my rusty "street Italian". I had never studied formally, had not studied grammar for example. I've just been to Italy many times and was about to embark on a 9 week visit. Livia has an amazing ear and can even discern subtle errors in pronunciation via Skype. Her lessons are challenging and productive; her explanations for why we are proceeding in a particular manner are clear and reasoned. She follows up each session with an email of vocabulary pertinent to that session and new materials to study. She’s good with technology and patient in assisting in diagnosing difficulties when there are any. She was great about helping me listen to extract content even though I didn't understand all that was being said. Her last words to me before my journey were, "remember you don't need to speak Italian perfectly to communicate perfectly." Now that I am here in Italy, I'm doing better than I ever have in the past. I recommend Livia without reservation. She has earned my highest respect as a teacher and person. Again, many thanks. Karen

Livia has been, is being, most helpful in so many ways. She is professional, always prompt with her contact, gently correctional, understanding of my needs but still helping to fill in missing gaps. Not advertised were two free lessons with a package of ten. I'm glad to have found her.
