FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Wordpress & Squarespace web design packages start at $1,800 and include the option for service add-ons including e-commerce, scheduling set-up, opt-ins, branding photography and more. Discounts may be available for certain industries. Please note that hosting and domain must be purchased on your own separately, although I am more than happy to assist with set-up for these if needed. For questions about service pricing or hosting/domain, please contact me directly so I can help answer these questions for you!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you are in the beginning stages of searching for a Wordpress or Squarespace web designer, gathering as much information as possible (on both the side of the customer and the designer) is crucial. To make the initial client inquiry process as smooth as possible, I've outlined these three steps: STEP 1: Submit your project inquiry form (see below for the link) STEP 2: Review your pricing guide and packages information sent in response to your project inquiry form. STEP 3: Schedule a free initial consultation call if you are interesting in learning more and have additional questions (scheduling link will be sent to you via email). Following this, if you would like to move forward with your project, I have an entire onboarding process that includes a contract/proposal, payment, getting you set up on the client portal, gathering more in-depth information about your business/project, etc. to assure everything goes as a seamlessly as possible. - How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started with notepad, FTP, Paint Shop Pro, and a hosting site back in the 90's when I was a pre-teen. Why? Because I loved it! I made layouts using HTML and eventually learned CSS when it became standard. Web design has changed so much since then, but I love it just as much now as I did then. Although I was a classically trained musician and followed that path for a bit and then worked in urban schools to contribute to social equity for years, I eventually came full-circle back to web design in 2018 as a freelancers. I started Vivian by Design in 2019 alongside my photography business, and then decided to bring my love for web design and photographer through Desert Rose Design & Photo Co. (est. 2022).
