FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is one of the most difficult parts of this process for me. I tend to want to bid things based on the amount of effort it will take me and since most of this stuff comes easily to me, I tend to underbid when I should be considering the customers are paying me for my expertise, not just how many clicks of a mouse it's taking to get something done.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all starts with a conversation. I like to talk to new customers, get to know them a little bit and find out what they're trying to accomplish. I want to find solutions that will easily integrate into the customer's life. For example, I personally might prefer Chromecast devices, but if a customer already has Amazon echo devices then it makes more sense for them to go with a fire stick because it will integrate very nicely with their existing tech. My preferences really don't matter when designing a solution for a customer. The most important thing is that we come up with something that will meet their needs and even wow them a little without breaking the bank.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've always had a knack for technology and I learned a lot of things from hands-on experience at my job or through reading about and researching topics that interested me
