- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have different base prices depending on exactly what the client wants but I always charge less if the client would like to travel to my location. Group discounts are always available as well! I always give a fair price and work with the client to figure out what is best for their budget. I also do not rip my clients off when it comes to airbrush/ Bridal foundation like many other makeup artists will do! I use honesty in my business and feel that my customers appreciate that. Please remember- A good makeup artist will not be the cheapest! You are paying for the skill level of your makeup artist as well as their knowledge of makeup artistry and years of experience.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been artistic and love painting, drawing, and anything else that I can express myself through. I thought I would put my love for art and makeup together into a career that I would enjoy every day and would also allow me to create!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently, I did makeup for a creative photoshoot downtown in the arts district. It consisted of multiple summer makeup looks with bright colors on several models and took seven hours to complete!
