We had an amazing experience with our mathtutor, Samiya. She tutored our daughter who has been struggling with math for years and we saw a marked improvement after just a few months. Our daughter would look forward to each session and enjoyed her fun yet informative approach. Highly recommend!

My daughter was tutored by Sara for 10th grade Honors Biology. With Sara’s help, she was able to raise her grade from a C+ the previous trimester to a B+, just .2% from an A-. We are so pleased, Sara gave my daughter confidence that she was not “just bad at Bio” but just needed extra resources and individual time. For all the work Sara did before and after each session, I felt the cost was more than reasonable. Even though they were 1500 miles and a time zone apart, it was easy and efficient to connect online. Would not hesitate to use this tutoring service if my daughter struggles with any subject in the future. Thank you!

I love that we found Horizon for my 1st grader! I am so pleased with the process from the beginning. Samiya went above and beyond in asking what our needs were and making sure each of those needs were met. She put my mind at ease and made me feel that my son’s progress was just as important to her as it was to me. Our tutor, Jan, has also made this process the best. He is always encouraging my son as he helps him. He makes learning easy by providing different ways to learn and by putting my son at ease. If you want a great company and great tutors, Horizon is definitely the right choice. Thank you Samiya and Jan!

My daughter was struggling in math for a few years (C- and sometimes D's). Her school suggested that we reach out to see if tutoring would help. With so many out there we started with one place. My daughter loved it, but when it came time for tests, she still failed them. They gave study test to the kids before exams. The practice tests were on things that she had never learned. All students in Las Vegas are not on the Common Core System. For as much as I was paying a week she should've have a A- B average. I decided I needed to switch and that is when we found Horizon Star. My daughter knew Samiya from her days in gymnastics. I said will give her a try. Since then, my daughter has been maintaining an A average. One other thing that I like is sometimes she may not need as much math help one day, but may help in another subject. Samiya has no problem switching gears and assisting in other subjects. I have not seen that in any other program. I've also had her assist with my niece with her college courses too. I would recommend this service to anyone that has someone that is struggling. This place is top notch. !!!!
