In today's age of cheaper dslr's many people are picking up a decent camera and deciding they are professional. Like many things photography is a never ending learning endeavor. Do some research. Learn some questions to ask. Do you have a website ? Have you been paid to do the job I'm looking for in the past ? What type of camera do you use? ( google the camera ). The most important part of photography is the photographer, however lesser gear is often a reflection of the experience of the photographer.
