What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
IT services are hard to give estimates for because a problem on one computer may take 30 minutes to fix. The same problem on a different computer may take an hour or more to fix. Hardware effects how long things take.
When I do my estimates I go worst case. I would rather come back and tell you that the repair cost less then what I told you, then more. So I maybe higher then others that you get but unless these some big unforeseen problem it won't be more then the estimate and in most cases it will be less.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk to new customers on the phone and get a feel for the problem. I'll ask a bunch of easy questions so I can give you a better idea on the problem before I even get out and look at it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been building my own computer for over 20 years. I have a Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Network Systems and Bachelor of Science Degree in Information System Security.
