Paws On The Ground uses coaching techniques by working with the client in coaching them on training their dog, The importance of this type of approach is that the client trains their dog which has been proven to have positive results and solidifies the bond bond between handler and dog. I start off by offering a free in home evaluation where I look at the breed specifics, diet, behaviors, surroundings, etc. During the evaluation, I make dietary recommendations and training recommendations based on my findings and what the handler would like to accomplish.The next step is I formulate a program that meets the needs of the client and their dog. Paws On The Ground uses positive reinforcement, rewards based techniques. I will not use or allow the use of electronic collars, pinch collars, or choke chains in training.
