- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on a lot of things so here's the run down. Number of hours. Number of images. Travel. Equipment. One shooter or two. Type of event. Size of family. Number of locations. Number of outfits. Hair and makeup. Image editing and retouching. Deliverable items (i.e. cd/dvd, flash drive, or prints). This list could go on forever, but you get what we're trying to say!? With each project being unique in it's own way, we will determine a price uniquely for you! We do require a 30% non-refundable deposit due at the time you sign the contract, with the rest due prior to the scheduled event. We do have payment options available and will discuss that more in depth if we're hired. All of our pricing and numerous packages are on our website. If none of them appeal to your needs, we will work with you to determine exactly what we can do for you. We're open to shooting just about anything! As children of veterans and being a military family ourselves, we do offer a military, police, and fire discount for any active or retired members. Please show a valid ID or proof of service at the first meeting.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We prefer to meet with our customer in advance. Anywhere from 1-3 weeks prior to the scheduled shoot. We love building a relationship with our customers and it helps ease the pressure of being in front of the camera. If your session is scheduled last minute or we are traveling we can chat over the phone or Skype. Depending on the type of session, times range from 30 minutes to 4 hours for most packages. Wedding or elopements range from 1 to 12 hours. The exact time is dependent on the coverage you need and the type of images you want. Once the shoot or event is over it will be a minimum of three days and up to four weeks to view your online password protected gallery depending on your event type. All edited images will be available to view and you may select which are your favorite based on the number of images you paid for. The final selected images will be uploaded to an online gallery for digital download or delivered to you personally via CD/DVD or flash drive. We also offer prints from wallet size to 13 X 19 at an additional charge, unless specified in the original request or quote. And don't forget, we do graphic design too! You can purchase custom announcement designs for engagements, graduation, newborns, and weddings. We can also design holiday cards or other products you maybe looking to send to friends and family!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are both self-taught with no formal training. What started out as a hobby in 2009, grew into a business in 2013 and we've continued to learn, grow, and expand ever since! We’ve been fortunate to work with fellow photographers and have learned a great deal from them. Our work has been published in local news papers, as event advertisements, and have been seen globally through social media features! We continually take courses and go shoot on our own time to better our skills and further develop our unique styles. Additionally we both have experience using the Adobe Creative Suite which includes Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and much more. We may also use Capture One Pro, VSCO, A Color Story, among others.
