FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very competitive but please don't feel that a lower than average rate reflects the quality of my service. You will find that tutoring companies charge an average of $45-$60 and hour and require you to pay for all the lessons you desire upfront! I know this because I have worked for such a company, and I felt bad that some of the families I worked for had been mislead to believe they were paying for months of tutoring rather than weeks. The sales pitch and contract can be very confusing. I am willing to negotiate my rate depending on the frequency of tutoring sessions desired and the amount of prepayment. Also, if your student has special needs such as ADHD, autism, learning disability, or other diagnosis that requires an IEP please know that I work in the field of Special Education and I can use my knowledge to assist your family on meeting your student's academic goals.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you are in need of a tutor to provide instruction or extra practice to your elementary or middle school child please consider me as a great addition to meet his or her academic goals. My experience with teaching English while living overseas has created for me a love of teaching both children and adults that need to improve English language pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. I use a great curriculum that coupled with my outgoing and personable demeanor will help you enjoy your time while improving your English.
